how to start
In order to guarantee quality, safety and efficiency of our training programmes, we strictly control new membership. Clients with no previous experience with a similar form of training first have to take part in an introductory workshop before joining group sessions.
The introductory workshop will give you a chance to talk to a coach about past physical activity, health condition, special interests and eventual doubts before embarking on a training regime. You will learn to perform the basic movements with a kettlebell and Olympic bar, which our exercises are based on (swing, clean, press, snatch, squat, deadlift, etc.).
Furthermore, your coach will introduce you to our programme and method of work. After your introductory workshop, you will be ready to join group training sessions or start a personal training programme, whichever will suit you better. An introductory workshop or a personal training course is required before you take part in group sessions in order to guarantee your safety.
Later training sessions can include push-ups, running, pull-ups, jumps and/or more advanced and explosive exercises with kettlebells and Olympic bars. We have a constantly expanding repertoire of new and established exercises which we continuously combine in various imaginative ways in order to guarantee diversity, but particularly performance; however, we will always tailor exercises to your own physical abilities. You probably won't see many of our favourite exercises in conventional fitness programmes. If you do happen to come across them, they probably won't feature the intensity which would guarantee aerobic and strength training combined. Intensity and speed have different meanings for different people. Everyone is sure to be surprised by the newly-found superior physical ability after working out with our conditioning coaches.
By deciding to take part in an introductory workshop, you will perform four individual training sessions with one of our conditioning coaches. This way you will be able to see the benefits of the workouts for yourself, while your coach will be able to give you advice on which type of training programme most suits your wishes and current physical ability. Introductory workshops are arranged individually with Vigor Ground centre in Ljubljana. Places are limited so please call in advance to book your place.
